How To Make Real Money On Ebay

How many times have you heard this line? Unfortunately there are hundreds of people selling the "best" ways to make a ton of money on eBay. The truth is you can make a lot of money on eBay. There is not some secret formula or one way to do it.
In this article I will offer tips that could help your eBay selling. I believe the single most important thing you can do is to sell something you know. If you have a hobby or job that is related to your items, you would be very knowledgeable about your product and reduce research time.
If you do not have a hobby or job that is related to anything you can sell, do a search with the completed auction listings in the categories that are of interest to you and see how these things are doing. You can also check the Hot List on eBay that will give you a break down of the hot selling items.
Research articles on auction forums or auction information websites. There is a wealth of information out there that is free.
Check out the forums that are on eBay. These can give you information just by reading what other sellers are talking about.
If possible, try to find a niche product. An example of this is Ham Radio. I hold an advanced class amateur radio license. The United States Federal Government issues this. I got out of the hobby and decided to sell my radios. I sold every radio with no problems. Amateur Radio Operators (hams) are a specific group, looking for specific items. This makes selling so much easier.
Once you find the item(s) that are right for you concentrate on customer service. Make sure that all the items you ship are properly protected with bubble wrap or styrofoam spacers. I do not like packing peanuts because they are messy for the customer. Do not use newspaper for packing material. It does not work that well and just looks bad.
Once you have your item packed properly make sure you ship it promptly. Customers will appreciate this and remember you. Communication with the customer is very important. As soon as you can contact your paying customer and let them know exactly when you are sending the item (you should indicate this in your auction.) After you send the item contact them again and tell them it is on the way. Little things like this can give you repeat customers.
So where is the real money? The real money is in supply and demand. If you have something that is in demand it will sell. If you don't it won't. I know this is basic business, but it seems a lot of people have lost site of this for the quick, easy buck. Long lasting sales don't happen over night. Market saturation also plays a big role.
The best approach to make "real money" on eBay breaks down like this: Know your product, research it and its sellers on eBay (how many, how much), use the recourses I listed above. There are reels of information on selling and buying on eBay on auction information websites, make your customers happy (good shipping, communication)
Knowledge is power. This is your greatest tool.
How to Earn Your Extra Money Online

If you can shoot a video camera or take a still picture, then you can earn extra money online. If you can type with ease, and if you have quality time to do lots of typing, then you might want to examine some of the ways to make some money. If you can write informative and sometimes exciting articles, then you surely have the ability to make prosper.
More and more websites have chosen to offer graphics, in the forms of video or still pictures. The owners of such websites seldom have time to obtain those videos and graphics themselves. They often buy the video and pictures from others.
There is nothing wrong with having others, with more knowledge and skills than you about any topic, do something you can't do. This is what great leaders do. Have others, better than them, do things they can't do. Their online needs can be seen by any viewer of the Internet. Their online needs have created a lucrative market for video and still pictures.
Many companies put out regular newsletters. They usually send those newsletters out by e-mail. Many such companies need to hire someone to type up such newsletters. Their needs create another market. An autoresponder and growing email list are the ways to go this route.
Other companies have a need for people to type up various reports. Some companies even pay to have others do copyrighted copies of typed reports. They want to cut down on the typos in those reports. Such needed services add to the many ways that one can earn extra online income.
Many websites are looking for added content. They seek information about all sorts of things. For example, one website has requested articles about the 50s and 60s. One website has started to look for articles about tires. A number of health related websites seek articles that deal with a particular health issue. All of those needs create new ways that a little persistence and effort can help one to earn extra money online.
Once one learns the ins and outs of providing a service or product to a website, then one can start saving money to invest in one's own website. Ownership of a website represents yet another way to make extra internet income. One should not, however, be hasty about how one approaches the set-up for one's website.
For example, one group in England started a website. They got different writers, and each writer got his or her own domain. The men in England then learned that having lots of domains attached to one website is not a good way to make money.
Those same website owners are now revising their approach. They are renaming their website. The new name will be something else more pertinent. They will offer articles that relate to the health of both men and women, both adults and children. The website owners are hoping that with this new set-up both they and the writers will have a better way to make more sales.
For success sake, I have seen and bought training from many sources, many quite good, that harped on having your website title relate and match your business or cause in the url and your website content. If they are unrelated you are throwing good money away in the trash.
The reason for this is no one will know what you are talking about. If they don't know what you are talking about or feel you don't know what you are talking about you will get no sales.
An article directory I regularly submitted articles to recently went broke for this very reason. The website was nice but unclear even though they had talented programmers. So, save thousands of dollars and have your website title, url and content related.
I guarantee you this is going to be one of the first things anyone who is good on the internet is going to tell you when you take virtually any marketing course. So make an approach to a business and change it as you learn more about it. Don' quit. This is the only reason you will possibly fail in this new computer day and age.

Are You A Forum Spammer?

One of the most successful kind of websites for social interaction among people with common interests is a forum. There are forums for every interest in the world and many are used by industry leaders in business as well as celebrities. From sports to gardening, marketing to politics, religion to popular music, every niche has a forum.
For website owners, forums are an opportunity to get more exposure and brand themselves as a expert in their field. Giving advice, sharing stories, networking, and asking questions are the most commonly found content in posts, except for one type...
The Spammer
Unfortunately, many high quality forums are ruined by the entrance of spammers. There are several types of forum spammers, some more subtle and others who are totally blatant. It is generally considered good forum etiquette in include any kind of self-promoting links in your forum signature, a little post that gets added to all of your text posts. These signatures are most often in BBCode and occasionally in HTML.
The blatant spammer will simply use these code in their posts to promote links to whatever site they want. Often this is the case with inexperienced affiliate marketers who don't know how to appropriately promote their site so they post it in forums asking people to visit.
If this tactic ever works it can only be because of ignorance on the part of the forum members. What's worse is that the post is simply the URL embedded with obvious affiliate identity tags and the post itself brings no contribution whatsoever to the community, it's just an ad.
The next step is that these forum spammers figure out that nobody is clicking on their links so the decide that the obvious identity tags in the link are driving people away because nobody wants to be somebody else's money making machine. The now novice affiliate goes and gets a "tinyurl" to hide the affiliate tags in their link and then they start posting that one everywhere, once again, blatantly advertising without contribution. After a little while they figure out that they still aren't getting people to click on their link, and start finally recognizing that affiliate marketers use "tinyurls" like candy and most people know that is a tactic to make the website owner more money and even worse, people feel like the owner tried to actually trick them into clicking on the link.
At this point the affiliate discovers he or she can change the link text so it isn't so obviously an affiliate link, so while the posts themselves continue as ads, the text to click on is no longer the URL but a phrase full of hype that says something like "my program makes me lots of money" (which it usually doesn't) so now they are starting to feel a little more confident. The spammer, however, is starting to realize that the posts are getting lots of complaints and no friends are being made in the community.
The affiliate is starting to realize that people don't want to be sold to on the forums. His intention of capitalizing on the niche is not a problem, but the method of attracting clients is like trying to see the sunset by running east. It'll never happen unless the approach is changed.
The spammer then decides to make a choice. Spam the forum or join the forum for the same reasons the other members of the community do and simply include a subtle link in their signature and actually become a contributing member.
Don't be a spammer, play by the rules. You'll have more friends, generate more interested prospects, and escape being banned from the best forums in the world.
3 More Steps For Your Online Business Advertising

Part two of what it takes to advertise an internet business successfully includes a short discussion of blogging, article writing, and linking, which are free, cheap, and highly effective ways of advertising your online business.
Blogging is a technique that is becoming an extremely effective and almost necessary method of advertising your online business. By signing up for a free account on a blog server, you can post your comments, thoughts, diary, journal, or anything you want with your links at the end pointing back to your site. You can submit your blog to blog directories, comment on other people's blogs leaving your link at the end, and the search engines will visit a site whose blog is updated regularly! This takes very little time and no money!
Similar to this method is writing articles, again, another advertising technique that is almost a must these days since search engines are looking for quality content on websites. Keyword rich articles will be spidered by the search engines, increasing your page rank and number of visitors. Article writing can be completely free and your own creation, or you can pay to have a service like Just Articles write one for you for $12 for example. You can then submit your article to article directories for free if you do it manually, or use an article submitter software such as Article Marketer, which allows you to distribute articles to a smaller audience for free, or a wider audience for $39.95/quarter. The cost is higher the wider the distribution and the longer the service. Still, it is a very cheap and highly effective way of advertising these days, and only takes about 30 minutes or so to write an article and submit them.
Finally, you want to start a linking campaign, which means you put your links on other people's websites and they possibly put theirs on your site. This is called a reciprocal link exchange, which can increase your page rank if you have links on the net pointing back to your site, or have links on your site from sites that have a higher page rank. It is best to have one-way links that point back to your site and make sure that the links on your site relate to your site's content. It can be free to submit your URL to millions of link directories, or you can pay for software, such as Link Directory Submitter ($90), which will automate the process and save you time, whilst providing you with quality one-way and reciprocal links to boost your page rank!
You can overcome the advertising challenge by using the techniques outlined in Part I and Part II of what it takes to advertise your internet business. Tell your friends and family, advertise offline, use ezine solo ads and Google Adwords, write blogs and articles, and submit links. Remember that consistency is key. Take massive action to achieve the results you are striving for and never give up!
